Harley Eugene Kellner

9-19-56 to 6-16-2015

Harley “Gene” Kellner passed away suddenly on June 16, 2015 as a result of a motorcycle accident.  Harley was a warm and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.  Harley grew up with a love for working on anything with an engine, ocean fishing, and spending time with his loved ones.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to attend races when he could in Sonoma.  He was well known for pulling his practical jokes on those he loved, keeping them on their toes.  He would always go out of his way to help someone in need and help make their day a little better.  Harley has worked at many mechanic shops over his life as an ASE Certified Mechanic and Smog Technician.  After retiring from the automotive industry, Harley enjoyed online gaming, flying remote control helicopters, wood and leather working, working on cars for friends and family, going to the casino or card room, riding/working on his pride and joy, his 1987 Harley Davidson motorcycle, among many other activities.  Over his life, Harley called many places home, Benicia, Vallejo, Fairfield, and lastly, Napa, and made friends wherever he was.  Harley leaves behind a legacy of being a fun loving man with a big heart, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Harley is survived by his wife, Ginny Cody, his children, Jake Kellner, Harley Kellner Jr, Jennifer (Victor) Vallerga, his grandson Colton Kellner, his siblings Delores (Duke), Teresa (Juan), Kenneth (Diane), Edward, and numerous cousins, nephews/nieces, extended family.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make tax deductible donations in Harelys honor to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund at http://nmsfund.org/.  This foundation works to eliminate motorcycle crashes, injuries, and fatalities through programs and awareness efforts.

Gone but never forgotten, riding your pride and joy in the sky, until we meet again.
