I am so very sorry to hear of Glen's passing, and my heart goes out to Glenna and the boys for this devastating void in their lives. Glen was always so positive, full of life and could talk the hind leg off a mule...especially about cars. My brother John and I will certainly miss seeing and chatting with him at all of the car shows he attended. The Gentry family and I go way back, as I lived up the street from them in the "old section" of the street, knowing his Mom (a fabulous lady), and when I was a teenager and Glen and Glenna moved in, I babysat for their sons Tim, Eric and baby baby Jonathan. Best kids ever! Best parents ever! Even though I only lived up the street, Glen drove me home to make sure I was safe (and that's waaay long ago). Glen and Glenna always gave me a very substantial tip, which I appreciated so very much, on top of the 50 cents an hour and 75 cents an hour after midnight for babysitting! I am so grateful for being able to know this family in my lifetime...they are all so very special, extremely kind, generous and thoughtful. God be with you, Glen, and thank you for being someone whom we could always look up to and try to carve our path to become.

I was so surprised to see Glen's obit, and saddened at the same time. He was such a lovely man. He would stop by our house if we were outside working on cars or trucks and just chat. I remember when Gene was building his 57 4 wheel drive pick up. Glen would come and as the boys say "bench race" about cars. There was never a time he didn't wave or say hello. I loved his pickup so much. The color is almost the same as I painted mine. Will miss his smile, his quick wit, and seeing him drive by our house.
RIP Glen, my thoughts are with all the family, especially Glenna. Glen was certainly one of a kind.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Gentry family. Mr. Gentry was one of the kindest, most supportive man I ever had the privilege to know & his passing sadens me greatly. A true gentleman who raised great sons. May he rest in peace.
