Ethel Dawn James passed away at her home in Napa, California on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the age of 55.
Dawn was an excellent cook and homemaker. She loved to travel and her favorite place to go was Cozumel, Mexico. Dawn was schooled in Tucson, Arizona and modeled professionally while a sophomore in high school. She was an avid skier, enjoyed going to the beach, and was a huge Oakland A's fan. Dawn was a loving wife, mother, and adored her grandson Kade. In her early working years, she was a legal secretary in Anchorage, Alaska and Stockton, California. Her excellent experience led her to Napa, California where she eventually made her way to Partnership Health Plan of California located in Fairfield, California.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Scott James; daughter, Chloe Alexandra James; and grandson Kade James Boehme. She is also survived by her mother, Laveda Sue Head; brother Earl Douglas Martin Jr.; and step father Michael Edward Head all of Ada, Oaklahoma.
Dawn is predeceased by her father, Earl Douglas Martin Sr.
There will be a service on April 9, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Tulocay Chapel, with a reception to follow at 1:00 pm at the Tulocay Reception Hall.
