EDWARD CEBALLOS

1936-2015

Edward Ceballos,79, passed away June 11 after a long battle with cancer, with his family by his side.  He was born May 3, 1936 at home in Tormey, California.  He was one of twelve children born to Jesus and Maria (Jimenez) Ceballos.

He grew up in Tormey, graduated from John Swett High School in Crockett and earned his Associate's Degree from Diablo Junior College.  Ed retired from Pacific Bell with 30 years of service.  During his career he held many jobs, lineman, splicer, subway inspector, line foreman, employment interviewer and engineer.  After his retirement, he worked two years at the Richmond police department as a police assistant.

Ed had a great wit and enjoyed being with family and friends; traveling, trying new restaurants, going to casinos, reading and his summer garden.  He was also an avid fan of the A's and the Raiders.

He belonged to the Native Sons and the 7:00 gym group at Napa Valley Physical Therapy.

Ed will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of family and friends forever.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, sons, Ed and wife, Rosemary and John and wife Susan; granddaughter, Shannon and husband Mike; grandson, Jonathan and girlfriend, Angela; sister, Marlena, brother, Dick and sister-in-law, Sheila, brother-in-law, John Leach, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Donna Bline; his best friend, Bob Riordan, who was like a brother to him; his buddy, Charlie and many, many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Willie, John, Art, Ruben, Frank, Oscar and Bob; and sisters, Esther and Stella.

Ed's family would like to thank Dr. Ari, Dr. Goss, and Hospice of Napa Valley, Mary, Jeanette, Sherry, Rocio, Dave and all the others who supported them in the journey.

A service to honor Ed's life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 1pm in the Tulocay Chapel with a gathering to follow in the reception center.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Napa Valley, 414 South Jefferson, Napa, CA 94559.  Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
