Donald Michael RushAugust 20, 1951 ~ July 5, 2017 (age 65)
"What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef! BA! Hahahaha!"
We didn't really laugh at his jokes so much as we couldn't help but join his infectious laughter at his own humor.
Mike was born in Towanda, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1951 to a boisterous and fun family of nine and passed away suddenly on July 5, 2017.
Mike served his country in the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Vietnam War.
He was taken too soon from his four children, seven grandchildren and his love, Patti.
You could often see him driving up and down the valley in his big yellow "Rush Mechanical" truck, fixing machinery and equipment for wineries, farms, shops and neighbors. You couldn't help but enjoy his company. He could put a smile on your face with a joke, an encouraging word or his energetic and positive presence.
We will forever miss our Mr. Wonderful.
There will be a service at the Tulocay Cemetery in Napa on July 21 from 1-3pm. Please join us in celebrating the life of this exceptional man. We will have a celebration of life on Saturday at Compadres in Napa 1-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to be made to support military personnel - Pathway House is recommended.
