David Emery Falk

1941 - 2016

“Davey” as he was called by those who loved him was a devoted husband and father.  He is survived by his wife, Eileen, and his children, Shannon and Mark and his sisters Margie Czychowski and Jeanne Adams.  He was a great civil servant and gave back to his community and country in many ways.  He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He was a Human Resource Manager for the following cities, Napa, CA, Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He also taught business classes at Napa Valley College.  After he retired he moved to Rio Vista, CA and continued with his passion for public service volunteering for numerous local community causes, including being a leader in the future economic development for Rio Vista, “Riovision”.

David enjoyed and lived life to its fullest!  He always kept a positive outlook in any situation and found the good in others.  He was the life of the party playfully joking and constantly engaged in conversation with everyone.  He loved sports almost as much as he loved talking.  Many people have commented recently that “Davey” was like a father to them.  His contagious smile, zest for life and generous heart are surely why people feel this way.  His wishes for all of us were to be happy and healthy, so appreciate all the great times you had with him and live your life to its fullest.

His funeral services will be Friday 10/7 at 10:00 am, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road Dixon, CA 95620.  There will be a reception afterwards at BJ’s Restaurant, 190 Nut Tree Pkwy, Vacaville, CA 95687.  The family invites all who wish to join them in celebrating Daveys' life on Saturday, 10/8 at Noon, 2557 Edgewater Drive, Napa, CA 94558.
