Daniel John DeSimoni

January 25, 1960 ~ April 23, 2017 (age 57) 57 Years Old

Daniel John DeSimoni, age 57, left us on April 23, 2017, at home with his loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer.  He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wendy DeSimoni; and his two children, Danielle DeSimoni and Vincent DeSimoni. Parents, Mike Sr. and Theresa DeSimoni; his brother, Mike DeSimoni Jr. (Karen); their children Bianca Simms (Dane – children Ryder, Ceriani, Easton), Danny DeSimoni, Gia Collins (Daniel, son Gauge on his way)

Dan was born January 25, 1960 in Richmond, California, to Mike and Theresa DeSimoni. Dan graduated from Vintage High School in Napa, California in 1978.

Dan enjoyed spending time with his family, building cars, duck hunting, 4-wheeling in Wyoming, working on the family ranch (which was never work to him), and working at the family business Channel Lumber Company in Richmond, California.

Dan was a man of few words, but those few words mattered and touched every life that he met.  He impacted the lives of so many with his selflessness, generosity, wisdom, unbelievable strength, and quick- witted humor.  He helped anyone that would ask. His wife and kids were the loves of his life.  His parents and brother were his role models that he inspired to be like.  There has never been a better man than Dan DeSimoni. He is loved by so many and will be missed more than could ever be described.

There will be no service.  Dan said that there have been enough tears given to this disease.   Dan’s wish is to be remembered with the joy, love, and happiness that he gave so many. A celebration of life will be held at Compadres Restaurant , 505 Lincoln Avenue, Napa, on May 7th from 1-4pm. Dress casual “Dan Style”.

In lieu of flowers, Dan encourages donations be made to the Queen of the Valley’s Cancer Wellness Program in Napa, California in his name and honor.  He fought so very hard and wanted to make a difference to those fighting cancer.  Memories may be shared with the family at www.tulocaycemetery.org
