Cleone Price Obituary

1926—2018

Cleone Price passed away on January 11th, 2018 surrounded by her family. Cleone was born to Elmer and Emma Evans on April 5th, 1926 in Farmington, UT. She married Harvey Price Sr. in May 1943 after meeting at Hill Airforce Base in Ogden, UT where Cleone worked and Harvey was stationed. Cleone and Harvey moved to Vallejo, then later to Napa. Cleone retired from Mare Island Naval Base after 36 years of service.

Upon retirement, Cleone enjoyed many hours of gardening and showing off her prized roses and hydrangeas at the local fair, where she earned many ribbons over the years. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were all lucky enough to see her in the stands at whatever softball, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, or BMX event that they may have been participating in at the time. Many an official was surprised to turn around and see that the person scolding their call was in fact Cleone. She also enjoyed her times up at the casino with her children where she would keep whoever was with her out until the wee hours of the morning.

Cleone is survived by her children, Harvey Jr. (Edwina), Patricia Danks (Phil), David (Teri), Steven, John (Robin), Jim, Lisa Ghisletta (Scott), and Todd (Jody). She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Ida Bruce (Rob), Carl Price (Jacqueline), Matthew Price, Emily Danks, Lacey McCormick (Ben), Bailey Downing (Andrew), Jordan & Dylan Price, Nicole, & Nate Price, and Troy & Anna Ghisletta as well as 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Duane Evans and Lorraine Steneck, both Utah, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Harvey J. Price Sr., children Robert and Cherie, her brothers Ferris and Tom Evans, and sister Jean Jackson.

Funeral services and reception will be held Saturday, January 20th at 11 AM at Tulocay Chapel, 411 Coombsville Rd., Napa. Burial services will take place in Kaysville, UT at a later date.
