Charles Tremewan

     Charles V. Tremewan,57, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2017 in Napa, California.  He was born October 7, 1959 in Vallejo, California to Fred and Barbara Tremewan.  As a child, Charles was a self taught electronics "whiz".  He put together electronic projects in his backyard, amazing his parents, especially his father who did not understand the projects!  Charles started working when he was 15 1/2.  He was a mechanic at car repair shops, worked for a delivery equipment business, was manager at a big store supplier, and later managed some gas stations to pay for his studies in electronics school.  He was a graduate of the Napa Valley High School class of 1977.  After graduating from high school, Charles took courses in machine shop and automotive technology at Napa Junior College.  He also studied Electronics Engineering at the Cleveland Institute of Electronics.  In the middle eighties, he went to work in South America installing telephone lines and water pipes.  He eventually came back to the states and settled in Napa. Charles was an Electronics Technician with Napa Valley Unified School District for 26 1/2 years showing great performance in his job at all the schools he loved to work at.

     In 2008, Charles met his wife Lourdes who feels she came a little late into his life but their years together were full of love and happiness.

     He loved the company of pets, especially cats.  Charles leaves behind his beloved 3 kitties; Tommy, Felix and Elvis as well as two rabbits; Princess and Babydoll which he enjoyed watching in his backyard.  His pets, past and present were always great comfort to him.

     Charles enjoyed the company of good friends, talking about the good old days and happy memories .  As an only child, he valued his friendships as family and loved to help people.

     Charles was an old radio collector and an active member of Antique radio forums on the Internet, sharing his knowledge with the members.  Charles loved vintage motorcycles, old classic cars as well as fast cars.  During Charles's lifetime, he owned 42 Camaros and was working on a 1967 Firebird before he started to show health problems.    

     Charles is survived by his wife, Lourdes Silvia Tremewan of Napa, Mother(step), Darlene Tremewan of Napa, and daughter Alicia Le Tremewan of Texas.

     Charles's family requested memorial contributions be made to The Animal Shelter in Napa, Collabria Hospice, or Crosswalk Church Food Pantry. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Tulocay Cemetery with visitation at 10:00 am and the service at 1:00 pm.  Memories may be shared online with the family at www.tulocaycemetery.org
