Welcome to the memorial page for

Carolyn S Moize

November 15, 1955 ~ January 20, 2015 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Carolyn (Carol) S. Moize, with her family by her side, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 20, 2015, at Queen of the Valley in Napa.

She was born Nov. 15, 1955, to Harold and Anna Clark (Rivera) in Adrian, Michigan, where she was raised, graduating from Adrian High School.

She moved to Napa when she was 19 years old. Eight years later, she met and married James (Jim) L. Moize.

Carol’s family grew: first one son (Paul), then three more sons already in their teens (Jay, Chris, and Charlie). Her first love was the Lord. Her love of her family is what made her a very devoted wife and mother, working very hard to juggle her extended family and work a full-time job. She worked 23 years in retail before going to work as the office administrator at Richard Pierce Funeral Service for nine years, working side by side with her husband. She had to retire from that job, due to medical reasons that seemed to plague her the rest of her life. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; her sons, James (Jay) of Napa, Charlie of Arcata, and Paul (Becky), and grandchild due in May of Yuba City; her siblings, Diana (Martin) Messner of Livonia, Michigan, Nancy (Gordon) Moret of Adrian, Michigan, Helen Clark of Alma, Michigan, and David (Rebbel) Clark of Adrian, Michigan, Kathy (Scott) Carter of Napa; her adopted mom, Eva Allison; parents-in-law, James (Ann) Moize; siblings-in-law, Cindy (Brian) Dillon, Angela (Don) Self, Sandy and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; adopted dad Larry R. Allison; her sister, Dorothy Swiger; and son Chris Moize.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, at First Christian Church, Napa, with Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Committal will follow at Tulocay Cemetery, Napa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Tulocay Funeral Home, Napa.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the First Christian Church of Napa. Words of sympathy may be sent to the family online at TulocayCemetery.org.
