CARL LYNCH

1922-2015

Carl F. Lynch., a longtime Napa resident, passed away on November 14, 2015. He was 93

A native of Indiana, Mr. Lynch was born Aug 9, 1922 at Lafayette, Indiana and reared in Boswell Indiana. He served as a soldier in WWII in the ETO. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Univ. of Calif. Berkeley, after attending Purdue Indiana and Univ. of Cincinnati.

He spent 30 years in engineering working at East Bay municipal Utility District, City of Hayward, and City of Napa as City Engineer and the Napa Sanitation District as Engineer – Manager. He retired from the District in 1982 and traveled and wrote a newspaper column on the environment. He was also a Contractor constructing homes in the Napa area.

He married Dolores Belasco Romero on Sept 2, 1950, and three sons and a daughter were born of this marriage. The daughter died during infancythe sons, Carl F III, Andrew John and Robert Leroy all live in Sonoma County.

There will be no services as per his request.  He will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate National Cemetery where the daughter is buried.
