BETTY GARDNER LIGHTCAP

1949-2015

Betty J. (Gardner) Lightcap went home to the Lord on June 14, 2015 surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Born January 23, 1949 in Napa, California to Ernest Hill "Bud" and Lela Jewell (Rogers) Gardner. She was proudly a  5th generation Napa County Native. Living in Napa all her life she graduated from Napa High School. She then went on to become a Psychiatric Technician and worked at Napa State Hospital for 35 years. 

She was a beloved mother, wife, friend and amazing grandmother to her grandchildren, Jameson, Kayla and Jessica. She loved to see all their accomplishments including her favorite all American past-time, baseball.

 She is survived by her husband Dennis Birnbaum of Napa; her son Jim Jessup (Veronica) of Napa, her cousin Carl Wade (Annette) of Napa ; many relatives in Tennessee;  her grandchildren plus  many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
