Betty Frost

March 12, 1937 ~ December 30, 2016 (age 79) 79 Years Old


Betty A. Frost, 79, passed away on Friday, December 30th, at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. She was born on March 12th, 1937 in Bellingham, Washington. 

She graduated in 1955 from Ferndale High School in Ferndale, Washington and then attended Napa Valley Junior College in Napa, California. In November of 1955 she met the love of her life, Wesley R. Frost, on a blind date. They were married on April 22, 1956.

From 1956-1957, Betty worked as a clerical typist at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, Idaho. She began working as an insurance biller in 1964 for doctors, Dwight Murray Sr., Dwight Murray Jr., James Borge, and Gallerand Pouteau before retiring in 1992.

Her hobbies included reading, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and sewing. She also enjoyed playing the organ and collecting Hummels. She loved to watch the hummingbirds compete over the three feeders hanging outside her window. Most of all, she loved flowers. Her favorite, the rose. She was donned the nickname Rosae, which means rose in Latin.

Betty and Wes enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Monterey, and Carmel. She loved to admire the flowers of the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada.

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wes. Brother, Chuck Smith. Children, Dorene Morse (Eddie), Tom Frost (Charisse), and Debra O'Bleness (Paul). Grandchildren, Jana Stark (Greg), Kyle Morse, Christina Litle (Jordan), Brieanna Frost, and Michael Morse. Great-grandchildren, Calissa, Evan, Ryland, Maverick, Lailah, Lynlee, and Lincoln.

She was predeceased by her brother Ernest Smith, son James Frost, and granddaughter Amber Frost.

She will be deeply missed and will forever live on in her families hearts.

A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 5-8pm at Tulocay Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service followed by an internment held at Tulocay Cemetery on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.  Memories may be shared with the family at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
