Benny Slusher

BENNY SLUSHER

1949-2016

Benny Slusher, 66, died peacefully August 16, 2016.  He was born September 25, 1949 in Richmond, California to Vernon and Jeannie Slusher.  Benny was a sheet metal worker for 25 years as a member of Local 104.

On May 18, 1979, he and Robin were married and moved to Napa shortly thereafter and raised their three sons,  Benny enjoyed camping, fishing and cheering for the 49ers.  His greatest joy was watching his sons and grandchildren in the sports and activities.

Benny is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Robin; sons, Jeffrey (April) Slusher, Michael (Jennifer) Slusher and Jason Slusher; grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy, Hunter and Sophia; father, Vernon (Beverly) Slusher, in-laws, Harold and Dee Fix, and sister, Barbara (Al) Pretel and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his mother, Jeannie Slusher, granddaughter, Kayleigh Slusher and brothers, Borden, Bert and Bruce.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10 at Tulocay Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life at the Napa Women's Club, 218 Franklin St. at 1030.  Memorial contributions may be made to COPE Family Center, http://www.copefamilycenter.org/get-involved/donate/ways-to-give.  Memories may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
