Arthur Robert (Jr) Thompson

Arthur Robert Thompson .Jr passed away on Thursday September 24th. He was born on March 9 1934 Parks Victory Memorial Hospital in Napa to Anne & Arthur Thompson Sr. 

A Napa native he attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School was a graduate from Napa High School Class of 52 and Graduated from Napa Junior College Class of 54.

As a student he played football, baseball, & basketball.

He received his BA degree from Sonoma State University & his Masters degree from Golden Gate University.

Arthur had served in US Navy for 2 years. He later married the love of his life Maurine Adams on June 28, 1959, they were married for 56 years. 

He was a Deputy Sheriff for the County of Napa & retired as Napa County Under Sheriff.

Art was a member of the Native Sons, Napa County Peace Officers association and the San Francisco Chapter of the FBI. 

During the course of his life Art thoroughly enjoyed a round of golf.

He was inducted into the Napa High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998

Art is survived by his wife, Maurine, Son Gregory Thompson, Granddaughter Madyson Almirol (Steven) Granddaughter Carrington Thompson, Sister Barbara Thompson, Brother Robert Thompson & Brother in law Forrest Adams & his children.

A Rosary service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, September 30th at Tulocay Mortuary in Napa. Burial Will be private
